There has been rumblings of a festival of this magnitude happening for a couple months and now it is official. Golden Voice the people behind organizing the Coachella festival have announced their next massive music festival in the middle of the desert. According to Consequence of Sound the festival will also feature an

all-star lineup of world renowned chefs and 40 of the best restaurants from Los Angeles to New York City

Single-day passes – $199

Three-day general admission – $399

Reserved grandstand – $999, $1599

There are also hotel packages, premium seating, RV and tent camping available you can click here for all your ticketing options.

Okay seriously though does this need to be a 3 day event with only 6 artists playing? also, $1,600 for pit tickets? In the middle of the desert? In October? Ehhh, personally I think I'll pass and try to catch them when they come closer, individually, if I can. I am however, enjoying all brilliant alternate names for this festival. Some of my favorites include Oldchella, Elderpalooza, and AARPalooza. Don't even get me started on the sponsorship possibilities...

In all honesty the lineup is pretty amazing. Think we could get them to do an east coast date? Maybe at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds? Ha ha ha ha ha ha
