Christian Bale, the star of the last three Batman movies including 'The Dark Knight Rises' visited on Tuesday afternoon seven victims injured during the mass shooting at a Aurora Colorado Movie Theater. The actor spent about two hours visiting the patients at the Medical Center of Aurora who are still being treated for their injuries. Bales who had some press cancellations in promoting the movie, took it upon himself to visit the hospital.

According to the Denver Post, Bale contacted the hospital and stated he wanted to visit and not to notify the media. He just wanted to meet the injured and the police. Tuesday afternoon he did just that as he and his wife met with numerous doctors, police officers and emergency room technicians who were the first responders Friday morning when James Eagan Holmes opened fire killing 12 people and injuring 58 others at Century Aurora 16 Theater. Bale spent about 10 minutes with each person.

Words cannot express the horror that I feel, I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.
