One of Rock's most powerful voices, Chris Cornell passed away yesterday in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 52, he was a very important part of the grunge movement. He was also voted "Rock's Greatest Singer" by the readers of Guitar World.

Growing up in the 90's Chris Cornell's voice was an important part of my adolescent years because if he wasn't on the radio he was on MTV and I must of watched the video to Black Hole Sun over 100 times and that does not even include when the video was on Beavis and Butthead.

There is plenty more then that to remember Chris Cornell by but that is usually the first song that comes to my mind. Chris Cornell's phenomenal voice powered every project he was a part of: Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and numerous solo projects.

Chris Cornell was also 9th on Rolling Stone's "Best Lead Singers of All Time."

As I wrote this I started looking on YouTube and found this gem from the 90's that would not of been possible without Chris Cornell.

RIP Chris Cornell.
