Chris Jericho is in the Capital Region tonight and then this weekend Jason Mewes is going to be at Saratoga Comic Con, two of my favorite celebrities. It is shaping up to be a great week to go celebrity hunting in the Capital Region.

I used to go wrestler hunting whenever the WWE came to town, but now I don’t have to hunt them down because if they don’t call here for an interview they come to the building, it’s kind of ironic that I used to go diner hoping in hopes of shaking hands with a WWE Superstar and now they come to me. Unfortunately no one has visited us in 2 years, I swear it’s not my fault.

I have only met Professional Wrestlers in the Capital Region and 9 times out of 10 those meetings went terribly wrong. I had a brief encounter with Sean Waynes was here on St. Paddy’s Day last year, he saw me with my Leprechaun hat on and told me I looked like the ‘Gay Irish Boy George.’ Ok so you can count that, but I would not call that meeting him.

Now that I think about it, I have met a few celebrities, I met Bobcat Goldthwait at the Comedy Works once but so did everyone else that was at the show. That kind of takes away from the magic of meeting a celebrity for me That and the fact that I condition myself not to become starstruck by celebrities and so I display an incredible amount of apathy toward their presence because I want them to feel at home.

Although when I met Bobcat it felt brief and meaningless. It was still like a childhood dream come true. I didn’t run around my backyard when I was a kid pretending I was Bobcat from the Police Academy movies and One Crazy Summer or anything….

That is enough about me meeting celebrities, now I want your stories.
