After David Bowie was taken from us prematurely thanks too that dreaded "C" word several shows where held across the globe in his honor.  Well, a few of David's close friends and touring band members have decided to take their show on the road in the new year in order to Celebrate David Bowie with as many people as possible.

The Celebrate David Bowie tour is coming to The Egg in Albany on Tuesday, February 13th and will feature the likes of Adrian Belew from King Crimson, David Bowie's touring guitarist Gerry Leonard who appeared on a couple of his records, Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, Sting’s son Joe Sumner, Carmine Rojas the tour bassist for Let’s Dance/Serious Moonlight, Mike Garson, Guatemalan singer Gaby Moreno, and producer Angelo Bundini.

Now many of the Bowie shows that have gone down in the past have included appearances by some pretty big names like Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction, Gavin Rosdale of Bush, and a ton of other amazing musicians and even actors. The tour poster boasts that additional special guests will also be on the bill and according to Consequence of Sound Angelo Bundini, who put the touring show together, says more "amazing surprises" are in store for the tour. He told Rolling Stone that he didn't want ruin the surprise but did say:

“I don’t like to give away too much detail but I will say that we will perform all the very biggest Bowie songs you’d expect plus many favorites we didn’t play last time from Space Oddity all the way up to Blackstar. We’ll touch on everything one way or another.”
