The Yankees were able to get revenge on the Rockies with an 8-3 win today. It also got CC Sabathia his 10th win, the first pitcher in the bigs to do so this year.

The Yankees lost the opener to the Colorado Rockies on Friday so they came out swinging Saturday afternoon. The Yanks grabbed an 8-3 win over the Rockies and notched 15 hits against Colorado pitching including a 2 run shot by Mark Teixeira in the 8th inning.

Other Yankee bats were at work today as well. A-Rod was 2-3 with 3 RBI's. Jorge Posada was 3-4 with an RBI. Nick Swisher and Curtis Granderson also chipped in with an RBI and Francisco Cervelli was 2-4 at the plate. One thing as been certain with the Yankees lately. If you beat them one night, they bring the pain the next day.

Big day for my man CC Sabathia as well! He goes 8 strong innings for the Yankees and allowed just 1 run on 7 hits. He also had 9 strikeouts. This win gives him his 10th win, the first pitcher in the majors to reach the mark this season. Plenty of pitchers are right behind him at 9 wins right now, but as of today CC leads all.

The Yanks and Rockies will do it again from the Stadium tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.  Hopefully they can take the series from Colorado.  Catch that game over on out sister station ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team.
