Sunday’s showdown between Xavier and Dayton might have been a buzzer-beater but the talk of the game was CBS Sports reporter James Bates’ loose stool. No, this won’t jeopardize CBS’ sponsorship deal with the Depends people.

Bates and Steve Wolf opened the broadcast with a brief ‘hello’ but it was quickly interrupted by gravity. The stool underneath poor James gave way and sent him flying down on the stadium’s hardwood court. Wolf and a crew member quickly scooped up Bates off the floor and continued the broadcast.
