Get you photo with the Q-Tease?
Now it's a Q-Tease's turn to review! Obviously, our biggest concert of the year, Q-Ruption was last night, and a surprising 12,138 of you rockers came out to celebrate and enjoy it with us! I thoroughly enjoyed both Egypt Central and co-headliners Five Finger Death Punch, and thought they both put on a very worthy show.
Were you lucky enough to meet one of the Q-Ruption performers? If so check out our galleries after the jump and save your photos - or send the link to this article to your friends to show off that you got to meet an artist.
The only rock festival in the Albany area was a huge success - thanks to everyone who came out to see Q-Ruption at SPAC on Friday night. After the jump check out the galleries of performers Selfish Needy Creatures, Egypt Central, Sick Puppies, Skillet, Five Finger Death Punch, and Godsmack.
So last night I had an absolute blast at Q-Ruption! There were so many great moments both on and off the stage, but one moment sticks out in my mind as the favorite of the night.
As one of you 12,138 fans that rocked out at Q-Ruption last night, it was hard to pick a favorite act. One band I was anticipating to see in person delivered in a big way last night. For me, it was Skillet that got ol' Monte tapping his foot.
After 5 bands performed at Q-Ruption, around 10:09pm the SPAC PA system blared AC/DC "For Those About To Rock", the lights went dark and Godsmack took the stage. Frontman Sully Erna screamed into the mic "We didn't bring any pyro's, no light show, or videos just kick ass rock and f-ing roll" They certainly didn't disappoint!
Summer exploded with a Q-Ruption Friday August 19th at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Skillet, Sick Puppies, Egypt Central and Selfish Needy Creatures performed to 12,138 fans according to attendance numbers released by SPAC. Were you there?
Before the artists took the stage to tear it up at Q-Ruption they made a pit stop to our backstage Q103 studio at SPACto sit down and chat with Mrozek and hang out a little before the big show. After the jump check out some great interviews from Skillet, The Sick Puppies and Sully Erna of Godsmack!
Thanks for coming to Q-Ruption - and also staring off the day with us at the Free Beer and Hot Wings national broadcast from Saratoga. We had a pretty long day but it was all definitely worth it and we're already looking forward to next year
Were you at the Free Beer and Hot Wing's Broadcast at the Saratoga Racecourse? If you met the guys we have the photos here. It was nice to see the show spend a few minutes talking to each and ever fan - they had a great time meetin all of you. Thanks for coming out! Gallery after the jump.
