Most schools in the Capital Region are on Winter Break and the kids are home. How would you feel if schools in New York were reopened five days a week?

If you are one of the 750,000 or so unemployed New Yorkers you have already endured an awful lot of hardship. What would you do if you had to pay back some of your benefits? In some cases, the state has overpaid benefits -- and they’re now asking for the money back.

It looks as though Congress is closing in on a bill that would include up to a $1400 direct payment to most Americans by March. This is part of President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief bill.

Governor Andrew Cuomo showed some love for establishments such as gyms, fitness centers, casinos and billiard halls as well as other State Liquor Authority-licensed establishments by extending their closing times from 10pm to 11pm.

New York has dropped the requirement to quarantine following exposure to COVID if the person has been fully vaccinated. This policy applies to everyone who received their second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

On Monday, Governor Cuomo announced that New York City's indoor dining establishments could reopen starting February 12, at 25% capacity. Today the Governor announced that sports arenas and stadiums with a capacity of 10,000 or more can reopen as early as February 23rd.

You are required to wear a facemask while using public transportation and while traveling on a plane. The Center for Disease Control has issued an order that requires face masks to be worn by all travelers while on public transportation. If you do not comply you will be removed from the mode of transportation. (airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares)
