Winning an Olympic Medal should be exciting enough, but not for 16 year old McKayla as she stood on the podium she scowled in a way that became viral.
The internet has been having a lot of fun with the Mars Curiosity Rover landing. There were a whole bunch of memes. And, of course, there’s mohawk guy Bobak Ferdowsi, who’s successfully bridged the gap between geek and punk.

August 9, 2012 Yesterday the Q103 garage was invaded with Michigan-based rock band Pop Evil and 20 of their fans who were lucky enough to win the chance to watch their acoustic performance. They played a handful of songs, answered questions and gave fans insight on their songs. It was an intimate affair and the first of many garage sessions to come. August 6, 2012 Over the weekend Q103 teamed up with Dutch Apple Cruises in Albany to bring you our first ever Pirate Cruise and it was a sold-out success! DJ's Rob Dawes and Dalton were present, as well as Q-Tease Jen, Nikki, Ashley and Katelyn. Music was provided by Johnstown-based cover band Hygeer, who rocked the boat all night as it sailed up and down the Hudson river. Check out all the photos after the jump.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival was at Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Tuesday July 31st. Slipknot, Slayer, Motohead, Anthrax and many others performed on three stages. USA Olympian Misty May-Treanor told the NY Post, that despite new rules that will allow women's volleyball team's to wear shorts and t-shirts, the US team will continue to wear skimpy bikini's during competition. Thank god, because if they didn't I think I would have boycotted watching the games over the next 16 days.
