Independence Day

I know the day is more than half over, but for most of you the fun is just beginning. Once the kiddies and their underage friends leave the party, yours is just beginning, so break out the beer and other adult beverages and enjoy some good ole' American fourth of July rock songs.

The Fourth of July means good food, parades and fireworks. Lots of fireworks.

Here's your yearly reminder that the 4th of July can cause some major injuries thanks to fireworks.

4th of July is typically the most traveled holiday of the year and according to AAA, over 40 million Americans will be hitting the road this year.

Memorial Day weekend, the "unofficial" kick-off to summer and the time to "officially" break out the grill and host a party for family or friends. But when you do, how can you ensure the meal and party is going to be great?

This Fourth of July, Albany's Empire State Plaza was packed to the brim with local residents who came out to celebrate our country's birthday and independence. Today is the 4th of July, the day we celebrate our Independence with fireworks, bar-b-ques, and family. Before you begin to celebrate the 4th either at the Empire State Plaza or a friends house, take our trivia test about the 4th of July, then impress your friends with some great knowledge.

This past friday, Q103 spent the morning at Sport Island Pub, which is located directly on Sacandaga Lake. It was a perfect day filled with good weather, a ton of people, delicious food and drinks and of course awesome music. It was a great time and a great day to kick off the 4th of July holiday weekend.

We look forward to celebrating our nation's birthday every year.  Everyone celebrates in their own way, but there are a few things I think we can all agree on that are just not good ideas.  Allow me to enlighten you.
