Last year we reported about about  a fire that destroyed Scotia, NY landmark Dairy Circus. Now we hear Dairy Circus is set to rebuild.

The Daily Gazette reports that there are plans to rebuild the Scotia ice cream stand that had been in business since 1970 up until last year's fire destroyed it.  Plans have been submitted for the rebuild and the planning board is set to review the plans on March 6. The family owned business was featured in the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines which starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Eva Mendes. We reported about the fire last April and at the time owners Robb and Doreen Clemmons were said to be in shock over the loss. Scotia Mayor Kris Kastberg, a friend of the owners, said "they are planning to build something very similar, with the same business plan."

I'm happy to see that the owners are rebuilding and wish them much success.
