A Capital Region area cemetery is offering a walking tour this Saturday, July 21.

According to The Saratogian, local historian and author David Fiske will be leading a guided tour of the Ballston Spa Village Cemetery this Saturday starting at 11am. The hour long tour will allow participants to view important gravesites while Fiske tells stories about them. It's sponsored by a new organization called the Ballston Area History Roundtable. Noteworthy gravesites included in the tour are those of farmer, manufacturer, and politician Isaiah Blood along with industrialist and U.S. Representative George West. Also included will be the resting place of Donald K. Stewart, founder of the local dairy that would become the Stewart's Shops chain.

This sounds like a fun tour that I would totally be into checking out. What are your thoughts? You can get more info about this event by checking out the Ballston Area History Roundtable site here.
