Capital Region Area ‘Main Street’ Named One of America’s Best

USA Today put out a list of the Top 10 Main Streets in America and the Capital Region made the list.

Broadway in Saratoga made the list of USA Today's 10Best coming in at number 7 for the best Main Street's in America. A panel of main street and downtown revitalization experts were enlisted to  picked 20 initial nominees before narrowing it down to the Top 10. Here are the Top 10:

10. Georgetown, Texas

9. Bath, Maine

8. Eureka Springs, Arkansas

7. Saratoga Springs, New York

6. Franklin, Tennessee

5. Ogden, Utah

4. Staunton, Virginia

3. MCMinnville, Oregon

2. Howell, Michigan

1. Emporia, Kansas

Broadway in Saratoga is known for it's Colonial Revival and Beaux-Arts architecture with historic buildings that house restaurants, art galleries, dance halls, and museums these days, according to the article.
