This weekend was both equally amazing and super boring ... but let's relive it anyway shall we?

Back to the grind fresh off a long weekend ... and all I want to do is stay in weekend mode. So I've decided to share my weekend fun with you in an effort to relive the magic and distract myself from the fact that I'm back at work.

Friday:

The weekend started just like any other day. Play some tunes, catch up on the local scene, make some videos, record some commercials, do some blogging ... but then the email came. The email from the boss man saying he had an extra ticket to the SOLD OUT Chris Cornell show at the Palace Theatre and it was mine if I wanted it. Of course I wanted it! I'd been pumped for months for this one and totally slacked on getting tickets so when the show sold out I have to admit I was a little bit heart broken. Needless to say the rest of day ended up with me trying to stay busy while anxiously anticipating showtime.

I can now attest that Chris Cornell live is definitely a sight to be hold. That voice though, totally a treat for you ears. If Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, or even if Chris solo  with a full backing band hits the road I am so there! The acoustic show was pretty sick but I did keep catching myself waiting for the bass to kick in and the drums to hit. Plus I have a hard time sitting at shows because I feel the need to move the the music. Even so, still a phenomenal show!

Saturday:

I did nothing. Seriously, I barely managed to migrate from the bed to the couch and watched a season and a half of Orange is the New Black. Judge me.

Sunday:

I rocked out most of the day with you here on the Q and then was lake bound! #floatday seriously I would float all day every day if I could . The entire afternoon and into the evening was spent floating on a raft in the middle of a lake with some frosty cold adult beverages. #floatlife

Monday:

We rocked it out again here on the Q and then I went home and celebrated our nations independence in the most American way possible ... with a corona and Chinese takeout while finishing up season 4 of OITNB. Sometimes I'm a sad excuse for a human being, I know. Then I attempted to catch some Zzzz's but my awesome neighbors were hosting a full on drum circle complete with singalong well into the morning hours.

So following multiple dreams of Jumanji calling ... that brings us to today...

Hope you had a great holiday weekend. Here are a few pics of my slightly boring and yet pretty awesome weekend for your view pleasure!
