Breaking News: Apple CEO Steve Jobs Has Died

The man behind the iPad, iPod, iPhone and iTunes has passed away at the age of 56. 

The man who gave use almost every piece of technology that we use everyday, has lost his battle with cancer and passed away.  Apple released an official statement on their website and even left an email link for Apple lovers everywhere to share their thoughts and memories on the CEO.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

Jobs co-founded Apple computers in 1976 , and he has been compared by those in his industry to the likes of Thomas Edison and has been called a "master innovator".  ABC News has more info on the unfortunate loss to the technology world.
