In anticipation of ‘Life, Love & Hope,’ Boston have given a preview of things to come. The band has released the first single, ‘Heaven on Earth,’ which you can hear above.

The song features many trademarks of the veteran band, including multiple layers of Tom Scholz’s famous Rockman guitar tone and a highly singable chorus. Lead vocals on ‘Heaven on Earth’ were provided by David Victor, although the late Brad Delp will appear on several of the album's songs.

‘Life, Love & Hope,’ which will be available Dec. 3, is Boston’s first album since 2002’s ‘Corporate America.’ In addition to Delp and Victor, current Boston singer Tommy DeCarlo, Kimberley Dahme and Scholz himself contribute lead vocals.

“These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston’s harshest critic -- me,” Scholz said in the press release when the album was announced. “They have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston’s hits for the past 35 years. I intentionally stayed close to the early Boston style on some of the songs -- even using the same amps and instruments. On others I let my imagination run wild.”
