I wouldn't worry too much about this new development I have a feeling things are going to pretty much stay business as usual...

You may not be familiar with the name Matt Baumgartner but chances are you are familiar with the mans work in the Capital Region. Matt currently owns and operates the four Wolff's Biergarten locations in Albany, Troy, Schenectady and Syracuse as well as The Olde English Pub & Pantry in downtown Albany among a few other ventures in Upstate New York that all began with Bombers Burrito Bar which apparently he started with a pot of cash he won playing poker at the Turning Stone Casino.

Albany Business Review yesterday Matt sold Bombers Burrito Bar to his long time business partner Jimmy Vann. Bombers opened in the basement of 528 Lark St. and has since expanded to the upper floors with an added a bar and indoor seating options and to two new locations, one in downtown Schenectady and the most recent at the Empire State Plaza all of which Jimmy now owns.

However, Jimmy has been working with Matt at Bombers for something like 20 years and has been pretty much running the show there for a while now so I wouldn't expect any major changes happening anytime soon. I feel like it's more of Matt officially passing the torch so to say so that he can focus on other ventures he is currently working on.

Aside from owning several properties in Upstate New York (one of which he actually offered up to me to live in when I first moved to the Capital Region) his most recent venture is a place called June Farms in Averill Park that he his currently cultivating to do something "bigger" with saying:

I am planning on doing farm tours and showing people what it's like to run a small gentleman's farm that is all grass-fed and free-range

Right now the website for June Farms that it is available for "weddings, private parties and company retreats complete with full-service event planning and catering" but supposedly something bigger is in the works.

We wish both Jimmy and Matt the best of luck in their "new" endeavors! I don't know about you but you may just catch me there tomorrow enjoying a delicious Jimbo for Cinco de Mayo!
