BMW Driver Drives on Guard Rail Trying to Pass School Bus in Albany [VIDEO]

Woah! This whole crazy situation was caught first hand on someones dashcam!

The video clip below was posted to YouTube yesterday detailing exactly what can happen when you don't give yourself enough time and become extremely impatient on the road.

The incident occurred on Quay St . in Albany (the road that runs parallel between the Hudson and 787 right near the USS Slater). The dash cam shows both front and rear footage of a driver of a black BMW becoming impatient with the traffic in downtown Albany. Instead of waiting his turn to turn he decides to switch lanes and turn left from the right lane in what I can only assume was an attempt to pass the car in front of him and the school bus ahead of that car.

Only there wasn't another lane to turn into and instead the driver ended up on two wheels on a guard rail/median on the side of the road and actually crashed into the bus.

According to News 10 there were 3 children on the bus and while there were no reported injuries all three children were take to the hospital as a precaution. Albany P.D. ticketed the driver of the car for unsafe passing. No word on weather he was able to get the car down and drive away after that one.

The whole video is kind of scary to watch! Good reminder to give yourself some time and slow down while on the road!
