We’ve got less than a week before the 2012 MTV Movie Awards are scheduled to take place, but the network is still busy announcing performers — including the Black Keys, who will take the stage on Sunday (June 3) to deliver their single ‘Gold on the Ceiling.’

MTV revealed the news this week, also announcing that French producer, DJ and recording artist Martin Solveig will be on hand as the house DJ, serving up remixes of the themes to such classic films as ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Jaws,’ and ‘Pulp Fiction.’ As the network notes, this isn’t the first time the Black Keys will be bringing ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ to MTV; they also premiered the video for the track back in February.

This year marks the MTV Movie Awards’ 20th anniversary, and they’ve assembled an impressively eclectic batch of performers to mark the occasion — in addition to the Black Keys and Solveig, viewers can expect to see performances from fun. and Wiz Khalifa when the curtain raises at the Gibson Amphitheatre at 9PM on Sunday.

Russell Brand will be on hand to serve as host, extending a streak of comedian emcees for the event that goes back to 2007, when Sarah Silverman handled hosting duties. You can take a look at the complete list of nominees here.
