Monster Energy, Metro PCS and Jagermeister are combining forces to bring the U.S. a new festival called the Welcome to Rockville Festival, which will take place May 8 in Jacksonville Florida at Metropolitan Park. Some big names are scheduled to perform, so you might want to start looking up ticket prices now!

This year marks the birth of the festival, but it is not premature at all, as it has three highly successful and popular headlining bands: Godsmack, Seether and Stone Sour.

Other confirmed bands are as follows: Theory of a Deadman, Puddle of Mudd, Skillet, Cold, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Rev Theory, Halestorm and Art of Dying. More are to be announced, and the festival will take place on three stages.

Also performing at the festival are 10 local bands which will be picked in battle format. The first place winners will perform on the Monster main Stage, the runners-up at the Field Stage and the remaining eight on the Jagermeister Stage.

As if things couldn't get any better, the show will be hosted by Mistress Juliya of FUSE television, who is excited to have booked the gig:

"I'm psyched to be the voice of Welcome To Rockville," Juliya remarked in a press statement. "Florida is the birth ground for so many great bands from the metal and rock scene this festival just brings everything full circle."

Rockville is presented by David Wimmer, who is also involved in the Rock on the Range Festival. He is joined by partners Mike Yokan and Jason Lewis of Orange Garden Productions.

Welcome To Rockville for me is a dream come true. I've been very successful in launching some of the biggest rock festivals in North America and to finally bring an event of this magnitude home means the world to me.  As a former partner in The Milk Bar I know just how great the rock music fans in this town are. Jacksonville finally has an event to match that passion.

You can pretty much get treated like a king or queen in addition to listening to some awesome tunes for a full day, all for just $40 more. Hotel packages are also available.

The month of May sounds like it's going to be epic. First up is Bamboozle, then this festival and then Rock on the Range. If you have the money and time, you might want to seriously consider saving up for these awesome upcoming shows; at least one of them. I wish I could afford them all, but I don't even have a car, let alone one to take all over eastern and central America! Believe me though if it was possible for me I would make it happen, so if you have the resources available, what are you waiting for? It's best to get your tickets and make all accommodations today so that you're all set when these shows come around!

Go Rock Yourself!
