‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV Series Adds ‘The Office’ Star David Denman

Officially ordered to pilot, CBS’ forthcoming Eddie Murphy-produced ‘Beverly Hills Cop‘ sequel TV series has been on a bit of a roll of late, yesterday casting comedian Kevin Pollak for a recurring role on the series. With Brandon T. Jackson in the lead and Eddie Murphy set to make occasional appearances, ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ has officially cast its own Judge Reinhold figure with former ‘The Office‘ player David Denman. But, will Judge himself return, lest he be judged?
‘Beverly Hills Cop’ will certainly prove one of the more interesting TV experiments of the year, adapting the classic film franchise with Brandon T. Jackson as Axel Foley’s son Aaron, but so far the peripheral casting has proved fairly solid. The latest to join the ensemble is ‘The Office’ and ‘Traffic Light’ star David Denman, whom many are identifying as the Judge Reinhold straight man partner of the piece.
More specifically, Denman will take the role of Brad Fullmer, a Beverly Hills detective described as strong, loyal, socially awkward but a good guy to have on your side. Produced by Eddie Murphy and âLast Resortâ show-runner Shawn Ryan, the forthcoming âBeverly Hills Copâ series follows Axel Foleyâs son Aaron Foley working to âtake down the criminal elements of the rich and famous, while simultaneously trying to escape the shadow of his larger than life father.â
Still no word on Judge himself, but we’re keeping our bananas peeled. Will you tune in for the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV series?
