Between the Buried and Me have officially announced the release of a new DVD. Instead of going with the classic method of performing live at a prestigious venue or festival, BTBAM are aiming to create an intimate experience, playing 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence' from front to back in a small studio space.

Much they did on their recent North American tour, Between the Buried and Me's 'Future Sequence,' which connects as one 72-minute song, will be performed nonstop for this new DVD. BTBAM have unleashed a marathon set before with 'Colors Live' in 2008, which was recorded at the Rocketown in Nashville, Tenn.

“We are very happy to announce that we are finally doing a DVD for The Future Sequence," says frontman Tommy Rogers. "In this age we live in you can watch us play any of our songs live online. So we wanted to give our fans something a little different… an intimate live performance of us playing in a studio. It will be a wonderful experience and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoy playing these songs.”

Between the Buried and Me detailed the DVD further on their official Facebook page:

Between The Buried and Me have announced that they will be filming a brand new DVD in March! The concept behind this project is in contrast with the band's ambitious and impressive live stage productions - this will feature the band in a small studio, an intimate setting in which they will perform "The Parallax II: Future Sequence" in its entirety. Joining the band for this performance will be a small group of auxiliary musicians, including percussionists, saxophone, flute, string quartet. BTBAM will record at the Fidelitorium outside Winston-Salem, NC after the conclusion of their upcoming North American tour. Director Justin Reich will be behind the cameras for this project, and longtime BTBAM producer, Jamie King, will mix and master the audio. The release date is tentatively scheduled for the Fall.

Be sure to catch BTBAM on their upcoming North American tour with Deafheaven, Intronaut + the Kindred.
