The Batman: Arkham videogame series is pretty much the closest most of us will ever get to being the Dark Knight. Unless you're hiding some totally awesome secret from the world, chances are pretty good that you're not spending your nights fighting crime in the big city dressed like a technologically enhanced bat.

But we can all dream, right? And the first two games in the series -- 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' and 'Batman: Arkham City' -- are among the best games of the past five years. And it looks like the next, and possibly final, game could top even those.

'Batman: Arkham Knight' is due sometime in 2014. But the first trailer for the game just dropped, and it's killer. You can watch the four minutes of awsomeness above, but we will spoil one thing for you: You can drive the Batmobile for the first time!

Unspooling like a movie trailer, the extended clip starts off with a whole Bruce-Wayne-this-is-your-legacy sorta thing that's been hanging over the Dark Knight ever since the start. But it doesn't take long for the action to kick in, with villain Harley Quinn kicking some ass and Two-Face flipping a coin (duh -- what else is he gonna do?).

But then comes the big reveal, as a redesigned Batmobile surfaces and shows off its curves. It's a beauty, and its first thrill ride down a dark road has us totally pumped to drive it. But after it takes down a gang of thugs -- with Batman leading the way, of course -- we can honestly say we can't wait to get behind the virtual wheel.
