Born on the outskirts of Motown and raised in the shadow of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Joe has been writing about rock music since interviewing Shudder to Think's Craig Wedren for his high school newspaper -- back when bands like Shudder to Think were recording for major labels. He's written for the Cleveland Free Times, Alternative Press, the Village Voice, SuicideGirls and a variety of other online publications and blogs, some of which have not existed in years. He started with Townsquare in 2011 writing for Loudwire and Ultimate Classic Rock, and has been with Diffuser.fm since it launched in spring 2012.

A day after Dave Grohl's all-star Sound City Players turned in a marathon thee-hour concert at the Palladium in Hollywood following the Los Angeles premiere of Grohl’s ‘Sound City' movie, the group has announced a one-off performance in New York City. Bestival 2013 to Feature Flaming Lips, Franz Ferdinand, M.I.A. + More

Daft Punk Releasing New Album This Spring

Daft Punk have reportedly lined up a May release for their fourth studio album and first in eight years, reports British newspaper The Guardian. The French electronica duo has inked a deal with Sony-owned Columbia Records to issue its proper follow-up to 2005′s 'Human After All,' which, like 2001′s 'Discovery' and 1997′s 'Homework' before it, were put out by Virgin Records.

Dave Grohl Taking Sound City Players on Global Tour?

Dave Grohl has only lined up a few shows with his all-star side band the Sound City Players, but he has big plans for the project: he wants to take it on tour around the globe. "We plan to do shows all over the world," the Foo Fighters frontman tells Billboard of the group, which includes the likes of John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. Bamboozle Festival 2013 Cancelled

Two months after organizers announced that the Bamboozle festival would not be returning to Asbury Park, N.J., next year, the entire 2013 festival has been cancelled. "We are sad to announce we will miss all of you in 2013 but keep your eyes peeled for 2014 info," reads a Facebook post from the event's organizers. "Have a warm and safe holiday season!" No reason for the decision was given.
