Attention everyone: we now officially have T-minus eight days until Christmas, and preparation time is running out faster than we can shove holiday cookies in our mouths. We still have to buy last-minute presents, dig out those stockings from the back of our closets and make time for that awful office party.
This past Saturday, SantaCon took over New York City. For all of you unfamiliar with this classic American holiday, it's an entire day dedicated to dressing up like Santa Claus and getting a little crazy frolicking around with fellow Saint Nick look-a-likes. It's sort of like a massive Christmas flash mob that makes you feel like you're in a strange alternate universe, but it's actually totally awesome.
One of the reasons we love the holidays so much is that there are tons of ways we can celebrate. Ugly Christmas sweater parties probably rank at the top of our favorites, just because wearing the ugliest cardigan ever in the name of holiday spirit is strangely fun. So what ranks towards the bottom of our favorites list? Office parties.
Contrary to popular belief, photobombing is super hard, and it requires a lot of skill. For starters, you have to get the timing down perfectly and do it so no one posing actually notices your moves leading up to the photobomb.
Take any food, deep fry it or add some bacon, and you've got us hooked. There's really nothing better than a nasty, greasy mess or extra meat strips to really make our testosterone sing. Think about it-- would you eat raw turkey testicles? Probably not. What about fried turkey testicles? Solid maybe. There are rare moments, however, when these two perfect cooking tactics combine to make an insane creation. This is one of those moments.
No matter what the holiday, we always love getting extra festive. It's not like we need an excuse to wear awful Christmas sweaters or take part in a harmless snowman prank, but doing that stuff during the season makes us look a little less crazy. The season also provides the perfect excuse to go way overboard in the decorating department.
Even though we're huge fans of Christmas, the holiday season can be super stressful at times. This is particularly true when it comes to buying presents. Most people are difficult to shop for, which puts tons of pressure on us to try and decode their present preference. Will our friend like that potpourri centerpiece we're re-gifting from grandma? Probably not. What about the awful Christmas sweater in the back of our closet that still has the tag on it? We'll give that a big N-O.
With all the time we spend on Pinterest, it's no wonder we've come across so much quirky and awesome stuff. Half our holiday gift and decorating ideas come from the site alone! Want to check out Disney/Star Wars mash-up art or a cheeseburger dress? They've got you covered. Not surprisingly, the site also has a whole slew of questionable holiday products you can pin and repin, like a pickle ornament or a creepy spandex reindeer costume.
You know how much we love pranks. We're not talking about the terrifying kind involving zombies; we're big fans of the innocent variety like posting a picture of a fake lotto ticket. These types of jokes are all in good fun, and they give us awesome ideas for our own everyday pranks. That's exactly why we're loving Pearce Murphy's shenanigans.
Even though Santa has an awesome job, it can be super stressful at times. Sure he's a jolly ol' guy who gives out presents for a living, but when Christmas Eve rolls around, things can get really tricky. If you think about it, the guy has to pull off delivering like, millions and millions of presents to people all around the world, so of course Santa needs to relax a bit post-Christmas. You know-- hop in the jaccuzi, get a massage or down a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies while the elves give him a manicure.
However, there are times Santa goes a little overboard with this whole "relaxing" thing, and he knocks back a few too many drinks (and we're not talking about milk). Basically, the guy gets extra, extra tipsy. He ends up passing out on sidewalks, subways and even right next to the Christmas tree. Who know Saint Nick was such a party animal?
Being a TV chef has to be an extremely tough job. Think about it-- that person has to cook and talk at the same time. Sheesh, that's rough. While there are extremely engaging cooks on camera-- like Mama June whipping up her famous "sketti" -- that talent is rare. That's why we understand this guy's struggles. Well, sort of.
Whatever the situation, you don't want to get on Overly Attached Girlfriend's bad side. She can get super weird, super quick. But the truth is, all her creepiness is really funny. So what better way to spice up the American Music Awards red carpet than by planting the YouTube sensation in the path of famous musicians and celebrities?
