Is RapidShare Next on The Piracy Chopping Block? – Tech Thursday
Just a little more than 24 hours after the sound thumping that the SOPA and PIPA bills got online and the subsequent tabling of them in Congress, file locker website MegaUpload was shutdown by the U.S. Department of Justice for alleged piracy of movies and music. Star Wars Uncut Project Now Complete. Something Darkside Blah Blah Blah.
In 2009, a project was started to recreate Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope with just 15 second user submitted clips. I'm sure there are many of you out there that don't know , what SOPA is. It's the Stop Online Piracy Act, and it's been proposed by some in Congress as a way to combat intellectual property theft. The New Year is just a couple days away and everyone has their own Top Lists for every subject under the sun. So when BJ messaged me and gave me a great idea for one of my blogs I jumped on it.
