August Burns Red have released a new single off their upcoming seventh studio disc, Found in Far Away Places. The track is called “Ghosts” and A Day to Remember vocalist Jeremy McKinnon lends his pipes to the song. You can listen to it above.

Loudwire recently caught up with August Burns Red guitarist JB Brubaker and he told us about working with McKinnon. “A Day to Remember have been friends of ours since 2008,” explained Brubaker. “We’ve been talking about guest vocal spots and the potential of someone singing for us and Jake [Luhrs] mentioned if anyone was going to sing on the record it was going to be Jeremy. He’s a good buddy of ours and he’s also very creative so we reached out to him and he was totally down for it.”

As for the recording session, the guitarist said McKinnon added his own spin to the track. “We showed him the section that we wanted him to sing or scream on, whatever he wanted to do and we gave him creative leeway for him to do what he wanted on the section," the guitarist explained. "He wrote his own lyrics for his part based on what the song was about and he knocked it out of the park for us … It was cool that we got to get his full range as a vocalist on the song. We’re grateful that he was kind enough to be a part of it.” McKinnon sings and screams on the track and you can hear how his creative input influenced August Burns Red above.

Found in Far Away Places is set for release on June 29, via Fearless Records, and the group has already released two other tracks included on their upcoming disc -- "The Wake" and "Identity." You can pre-order August Burns Red’s new album Found in Far Away Places here.
