Danny Worsnop left Asking Alexandria for almost two years before rejoining them last fall. In a new interview with Metal Wani that you can listen to above, he talked about his return to the band, his solo career and other topics.

Worsnop says (transcription via Blabbermouth) he was excited by the response from the fans when he returned to Asking Alexandria and embarked on a tour with the group.

"They received it very well," Worsnop says. "I mean, it was incredible — the response from them and the support. I couldn't have been happier. It was a great experience. It's always nice to hear a few thousand people chanting your name every night. I didn't need the ego boost, but it was welcomed. It was great to be back with the guys."

He continues, "It had been, like, two years since we had spoken, so it was… it was nice. It was like jumping back in, and it was a smooth transition that I'm glad we did. I think we all needed the time apart to gather ourselves and get our respective s--t together. And yeah, it's good to be back together."

Worsnop's solo album The Long Road Home will be released Feb. 17, and explores different musical territory than the rock and metal he's known for, such as the country flavored "Don't Overdrink It."

He says there will be more solo albums in the future. "The solo work is my number one, always," Worsnop reveals. "I'm already thinking about the second one. Everything else… I obviously love all the other things I do, but the solo record is always number one. 'Cause it's me and I have an emotional connection to it where nothing can ever top it."

Worsnop is keeping extremely busy. In addition to solo tour dates, Asking Alexandra will be embarking on a lengthy European tour beginning Feb. 28. He also has two movies coming out this summer, and there will be a second We Are Harlot album. The singer says they are "ten songs into that already."
