Anyone who has seen Anthrax play know exactly how powerful a voice that Joey Belladonna has, but it's interesting to hear him sing something that's not necessarily in his usual genre. The crowd at the Chicago Cubs game against the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday night (Sept. 21) got that opportunity when Belladonna sang the National Anthem before the game.

Belladonna is a vet at singing the National Anthem and has a history of doing so in Chicago. His 2013 performance at a Chicago Bulls game made headlines and he once again treated the Windy City crowd at Wrigley Field Wednesday night. Watch the performance in the video below:

The guys in Anthrax were on hand to witness Joey's big moment and even had some fun on the field and hanging out with Chicago Cubs coach Joe Maddon before the game. See some of their posts below:

Anthrax are currently on tour in support of their For All Kings album. They're playing shows with Slayer and Death Angel and will make a stop at the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest event in San Bernardino, Calif. this weekend. See their current tour dates here.
