Alice Cooper – The Musical?

No way. Say it ain't so. But yes. Alice Cooper is working with comedian Noel Fielding (Mighty Boosh) on creating and scoring a musical. As the story goes the two were talking at the pub and decided that a combination of Alice Cooper’s musical abilities coupled with Noel’s comedy skills could make one hell of a musical.

I say why not! Roger and Hammerstein (famous musical composers from a long ass time ago) already rolled over in their graves when Green Day’s American Idiot became a musical on Broadway. Most people who like rock aren’t really the broadway sort of people and bringing something cool to broadway like Green Day or Alice Cooper is maybe a way to make it less lame. Would you rather go see something called “The King and I” or “Alice Cooper the Musical”?

Yeah - easy choice there.
