A popular waterfront restaurant/bar is up for auction.

According to The Times Union, Riverfront Bar & Grill in Albany is up for auction as of today (March 30). The floating barge, and Albany's only waterfront restaurant serving the area for over 20 years closed for the season last Sept. and it's on the auction block now six months later. The auction which started at 9am this morning is listed at Collar City Auctions with a starting bid of $50,000 and runs until April 26 at 11am. The barge features a kitchen and bar along with two enclosed decks and one open deck. Randy Passonno, president of Collar City Auctions said that a bank took over the barge shortly after it closed for the season last year. Interested parties can attend one of two previews of the barge on April 23 9-11am and on April 24 from 1-3pm.
