Albany Sounds: Episode 1, Featuring Frank Palangi

Albany Sounds is a special web series where Q103 highlights local talent from the Albany Region and beyond. Each episode features one artist and their music.

For the first episode, we thought it was only fitting to have the 2013 Battle for Q-Ruption winner Frank Palangi as the inaugural guest.

Frank's new E.P. is entitled "I Am Ready" and is more like his anthem statement to say he is ready for the next step in his career because as Frank says "I have no plan B on backing down on my dreams." He recorded most of the E.P. in his basement while also working with producer Rob Coates. Also featured on the E.P. are members of the Christian rockers Pillar.

"I Am Ready" was released this year but Frank isn't stopping there. Recently he visited Chris Henderson (3 Doors Down) and wrote a new single that will be released in early 2014.

In the first episode of Albany Sounds, Frank and I talk about working with "big name" bands on his music, when he decided to "seriously" follow his dreams, and much more. Featured in this episode is also the songs "I Am Ready" and "Turn It All Around".
