Albany Has A Stand-Up Comedy Scene

Tonight I will be apart of my 3rd Underground Comedy Showcase at The Comedy Works and I am not alone. Albany has a very active Stand-Up Comedy scene and the Showcase at the Comedy Works is the place for local comedians to get their chance to show off their best material.

I will be 1 of 11 comedians tonight at the Showcase, Dwayne Murphy Jr is the host and is a prime candidate to make it big, so that we don't have to resort to finding local pride in the fact that J-Wow and Rachel Ray are from our area.

There is going to be a Kat Broadus, I think she is a robot. Because she has some kind of switch inside her and when its turned on she gets really angry.

Mikael Gregg is a chiropractor/comedian so if you throw your back out from laughing at him to hard, he can help you fix it afterward.

Henry Liu is a Asian Lawyer Comedian, three things that you never thought would go together. Coincidentally Nicholas Marricco who is the Lead Trainer at the NYC Board of Elections and a Student at the University of Albany. Nicholas studies European History and tonight will get a lesson in American History!

Andrew Hoffman is a Jets fan, so that is funny enough and if its not David Louis will be there and he is a accomplished Skee Ball player so one way or another someone is going to be talking about balls.

I think that the highlight of tonight's show will be Jake Lamarca, he is a ventriloquist and if that is not enough Jon Tenace is a time traveling comedian, musician, who once tried to save Abraham Lincoln for America. Then there is Seth Carr, he is Awesome.
