Albany Gets A New Hot Dog Joint — Watch Out Gus!

There is no doubt that Albany, New York is a hot dog town. We love our local hot dog places, and it looks like a new player has moved in, and is bringing some serious flavor with them.

Dallas Hot Wieners has been operating in Kingston, New York for 85 years. Now, they have brought their style to Albany. The new store is located on South Pearl Street, right next to the Times Union Center. When I heard there was a new hot dog spot in town, I had to check it out.

We learned a while back that the Albany area loves their Gus's, but as a hot dog fan, you have to try this place out. It's extremely affordable, and even open for breakfast. If you want to get a hot dog for breakfast, I'm not going to judge you, but they have a whole breakfast menu to choose from. The Albany store is open at 10 A.M, and stays open till 8 P.M.

One of my favorite parts is that you can just walk right up to the window and order a couple dogs to go. You have to get the traditional Dallas Hot Wiener, too. It comes with their special chili sauce, onions and mustard. It's fantastic, and has nothing to do with Dallas, Texas. One of the best new places that's opened in the Albany area. Check it out.
