Sitting majestically atop Albany's State Street hill, the New York State Capitol was built by hand in the 1800's over a period of 25 years, it is a marvel of late 19th century architecture and quite possibly HAUNTED!  This October, get spooked with haunting tours of the New York State Capitol Building.  Find out if the Nightwatchman still roams the halls and more.  Tours begin October 11th, and are free but you will need to register online.

The New York State Capitol Building is offering special tours that are more ghoulish than ever exploring stories and other legends connected with the historic building. Grab 9 friends and make a reservation to get your bones chilled this Fall at the Capitol Building.

Besides finding out if the Nightwatchman who died in the Capitol fire of 1911 still roams the halls, did two presidents visit the building after they died?  What happened to the lost Capitol murals and their artist? Does the secret demon carved in stone hold a Capitol Curse?

Tours begin at the Plaza Visitor Center, North Concourse, Empire State Plaza, Albany and are offered twice daily at 12 noon and at 5:30pm Monday thru Friday beginning Tuesday October 11th and ending on Halloween October 31st.

Tours are already filling up fast and you must make a reservation online.

Should you want to do a tour with more than ten people please call the New York Office of General Services at 518-473-7582.

On January 1, 2011, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 1 providing public access to the Hall of Governors and what better use and time of seeing the building than with a Haunted Tour during October.
