U.S. News & World Report recently analyzed the most populous metro areas in the United States to figure out which cities were the best to live in. Four cities in Upstate New York managed to beak into the top 100. Out of the 4 cities in Upstate that made the list Albany comes in with the highest ranking!

I've been privileged enough to live in 2 of the cities that made the list and while my previous city of residence had a ton of amazing things to offer I'm totally enjoying discovering all the awesomeness that makes up the Capital Region!

Now for a city to make it on the list there was some categories and criteria put into place. According to NewYorkUpstate.com they were:

Good value, desirability, strong job market, and a high quality of life. The numbers were calculated by weighing job market index, value index, quality of life index, desirability index, and net migration.

So without further ado ...

Albany breaks in at #36 on the list with a 6.7 out of 10 over all on the U.S News & World Report scale and was the only city inn Upstate New York to break the top 50!

The 3 other cities in Upstate New York that made the list include Syracuse at #53, Buffalo at #67, and Rochester all with a 6.5 out of 10 over all.

The whole list is pretty interesting to comb through they give some thorough insight into every aspect of life in each city. Feel free to give it a look over by checking out the full list below!
