Yes, while Billy Joel is known as 'The Piano Man,' he did have his fair share of upbeat rockers back in the day. But Joel, who is in the midst of a Madison Square Garden residency in New York, surprised fans by upping the wattage even more than usual. AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson turned up as a surprise guest, rocking the house with a rendition of 'You Shook Me All Night Long.'

Johnson appeared during Friday night's performance (March 21), and his appearance came two-thirds of the way through Joel's set, immediately after the ballad 'She's Always a Woman.' The song definitely electrified the audience, as the crowd immediately rose to their feet upon hearing the opening guitar lick and then spotting Johnson taking the stage.

The veteran vocalist seemed to be having a blast, playing to the crowd, nodding to Joel and even rocking alongside Joel's guitarist during the song's guitar solo. He even took a moment mid-song to marvel that he was singing with Joel.

After the track concluded, Johnson gave hugs to all the members of the band as the audience applauded, with Joel remarking at the end of the performance, "That's how you do it." Footage from the performance can be seen above.

Just last month, Johnson revealed to a Florida radio station that AC/DC were planning to enter the studio in May to begin work on a new album. He also stated that the band was also making plans for a 40th anniversary tour.
