With the Super Bowl in the books, I find myself with nothing to look forward to the rest of the month. The NBA is in mid-season, March Madness is a ways away, and pitchers and catchers haven't reported to spring training yet. And since I am not a Giants fan and refuse to bask in the glow of "Elite" Manning, I find myself trolling the internet for stories that can peak my interest. Today I found three.

First a story from Canada where after careful study they found that people who use illegal drugs and jump in their cars are twice as likely to cause an accident as compared to a sober driver. This makes sense but the study doesn't talk about the fact that people driving under the influence of illegal drugs are probably four times as likely to drive 20 miles per hour under the speed limit, causing only fender benders at best.

Second, the President has released his campaign soundtrack. The song list includes "Livin La Vida Loca", "Got to Get You Into My Life" by Earth, Wind, and Fire, and "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. I've seen this track list before. It was on an episode of "Glee". I believe he would be better served by Metallica's "Enter Sandman" or better yet, AC/DC's "What Do You Do For Money". The latter would at least get people's ears to perk up and wonder WTF was going on.

Finally, I read that police were looking for an escaped mental patient who was convicted of stalking Madonna a few years back and was given a ten year sentence. Fox or Bravo or one of the reality TV networks needs to get on this and hire Madonna to look for the perp herself. Tell me you wouldn't watch "Stalker Hunt with Madonna".

Damn...I miss football....when's the combine?
