We see pictures of the solar system all the time. Mush like maps of the world, they're horribly disproportionate to try to make our stupid minds understand better.

A group of friends decided to make a scale model of the universe, which takes 7 miles to correctly show. They had 36 hours to measure everything out and make a time lapse video. The result really makes you think about your place in the universe. Just being shown how far away the moon really is makes you realize how small we are in the grand scheme of things.
