We all remember sprawling out on the floor as children to get out our Legos and build whatever came to our imaginations- or whatever picture was on the box, like I did. The little plastic rectangles, shapes and people have been a favorite among kids for decades, as the possibilities are just endless. Now, Legos is going above and beyond and coming out with a movie that is made entirely of them. It is scheduled to release in 2014.

The film is in conjunction with last year's The Adventures of Clutch Powers, which is an animated adventure tale that was the beginning creation to the home-released films. According to the article, the new film will be 80% animated and 20% live action.

They also have in recent years been the basis of a number of hit video games. In fact, many of those video games place classic movies, such as Batman, Star Wars and Indiana Jones, in Lego-built worlds, with protagonists morphed into the tiny yellow people that populate the movie inspired-Lego world.

Now, instead of home consumption, Legos will make a film for the big screen. Warner Bros. will be producing the movie. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, directors of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, will write and direct, and Chris McKay, director of Robot Chicken, will join on as co-director.

What do you think of the video? Are you interested in seeing the film?
