Frank Zabinski may be one of the youngest assistant fire chiefs in the entire Capital Region.

At 23, Frank serves the Guilderland Fire Department  and goes above and beyond in his job. According to the person who nominated Frank as this week's "Hometown Hero," "he is a devoted member of the fire department and is always the first responder at each fire call. He is an amazing person and huge part of the community."

Frank not only responds to fires, but helps out with department events as well.

As part of the “Hometown Heroes” series, we’ve partnered with County Waste, Latham Ford, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region and Awards by Walsh to celebrate local unsung heroes for their good deeds and honorable work.

Thank you, Frank, for keeping our community safe!
