10 Famous Women You Probably Didn’t Know Posed Naked
It’s the 21st century, and seemingly every lady on Earth has taken her clothes off for a camera at least once. But there are some celebrities who stripped down back in the day that might just surprise you. In this list, we’ll share some of the most unexpected naked ladies ever to snap a picture.
Dr. Laura Schlessinger
The conservative talk radio host is the last person you’d expect to show the goods, but she was humiliated in 1998 when her former mentor sold a handful of nude pics he’d taken of her in the 70′s to an Internet porn site. First she claimed the pictures weren’t her, then she sued to shut the site down, only to have a judge laugh her out of court.
It’s becoming more and more acceptable for older actresses to bare it all, so when Lauren Hutton posed nude at 61 it was barely a story. Hutton, the statuesque gap-toothed model and star of movies like American Gigolo, doffed everything for ‘Big’ magazine in 2005 to show older ladies that they could still look good starkers.
One of the most striking beauties of all time, Elizabeth Taylor was notorious for her cool reserve and multiple marriages. But Taylor never, ever allowed her nude image to be released to the public. After Taylor’s death in 2011, a single photo of the gorgeous actress, taken by then-beau Roddy McDowall, was released by a collector. It’s the only one in existence.
We have to say that Bill Clinton sure got a lot of play, but most of the ladies that he smashed weren’t as hot as, say, JFKs. Thankfully, most of them never doffed their clothes, but one did. Paula Jones was an Arkansas state employee who accused Bill of sexily harassing her. After the lawsuit was settled, Jones found herself deep in debt with legal fees, so she decided to pay for them by posing for Penthouse.
Cackling comedienne Phyllis Diller made a career for herself cracking wise on a number of TV shows, but in her youth she was actually quite a looker. In 1967, she actually shot a photo spread for Playboy, but the pictures were never printed for some unknown reason. Considering this is a woman who was paired on-screen with Boris Karloff, that might be a good thing.
The one-legged model and vegetarian who came to worldwide fame as the wife of Paul McCartney actually stripped everything off in her younger days for a German magazine. The pictures show the shapely Mills (before the accident that cost her her leg) cavorting covered in oil with a long-haired dude.
The Go-Gos may have seemed like a fun-loving girl group from the outside, but the quartet actually engaged in some pretty sordid sexual activity backstage. Lead singer Belinda Carlisle decided to doff everything for Playboy in 2001, promoting the band’s reunion album.
The only first lady on this list, in 1971 Jackie O was sunbathing in the nude when photographers caught her starkers and sold the pictures to Hustler, who published them. Jackie was publicly horrified by the breach of privacy, but inside sources indicate that she wasn’t really all that bothered by it. She even autographed a copy for Andy Warhol.
Alt-country singer Neko Case is beloved by the NPR set, but before she came to white people stardom she actually stripped it all off for Kutie, an alternative skin rag out of Seattle. The magazine only lasted a few issues but it was notorious for featuring ladies off the beaten path.
One of the most respected British actresses of all time, Helen Mirren has actually been unafraid of nudity both on-screen and on the page. At the age of 64, Mirren posed starkers in a bathtub for New York Magazine promoting her film ‘Love Ranch.’ She still looks pretty damn good!
